Happy Post Super Bowl Guys!!!
So a lot of the blogs I follow were gearing up for the big game yesterday and the days before. Personally, I was at work yesterday…and I did not care one tiny bit.
Before I proceed let me just say I AM NOT a Patriots fan, I’m not a Brady/Belichick fan, I don’t agree with Brady’s alleged political views. HELL I don’t even like New England Clam chowder. But I will never root for the Falcons. EVER!
As you may know by now, I’m a New Orleans girl. All the way down to my bones, I’m a Saints fan. Win, lose, draw, cardiac arrest, or Bounty Gate, I am a Saints fan. And if you never knew anything about Saints fans KNOW that we are PETTY! Super petty, petty with a capital P, Kanye level petty. Get the picture?
The duel between the Saints and the Falcons is DEEP and BITTER. (Ya know? Like the souls of Falcons fans right now.) Things have been said and things have been done that are bigger than football and we can’t go back. Just Can’t!
Remember egging our teams bus, mocking Steve Gleason (who’s a really cool guy by the way) and that infamous Roddy White tweet:
“The grace of god gave them tht championship so tht city wouldn fall apart now they think they hot [obscenity],”
Yeah all of that stuff. Ya know God don’t like ugly right?
I feel your pain though. I feel it like losing our GM (Mickey Loomis) for 8 weeks, our assistant head coach (Joe Vitt) for 6 games, and our head coach (Sean Payton) for an ENTIRE season! Oh and don’t forget about our 2nd round draft picks for 2 consecutive years. Does it hurt like that Falcons fans?? Bet it hurts like that.
But hey, like I said before I’m not keen on the Pats AT ALL. They basically got a slap on the wrist for Deflate Gate AND Spy Gate while our team was crippled and dismantled.
However it would be un-New Orleanian of me to root for the Falcons at this point. I’ve head some people say “we gotta go for the south!” Or “they’re in our division.” Ummmm no that’s like rooting for Lord Voldemort just because he’s in Harry Potter. It just doesn’t make sense!
With that being said, congrats to the Patriots…I guess. And to the fans of the Atlanta Falcons…you have my condolences. Maybe it’s time to bury the birds.
