In 2013 I got pregnant and then I got fat. By early 2014 I had KP, and got fatter…I’m pretty sure that’s not how it was supposed to work guys.
Breastfeed they said. It’s good for the baby and it’ll help you lose weight they said. HALF TRUTHS!!!!
This is KP and I when she was 10 months. She was adorable and bold. I was uncomfortable and fat. I got bigger than this but I stopped taking pictures.
NOW let me be totally honest here, I have NEVER been skinny. I’m a naturally thick girl, but things got more than a bit outta hand. My health was and still is in jeopardy. My heaviest weight over the past 3 years was 230 pounds! I was 142 before I got pregnant. That’s a whooping 88 pounds…and it wasn’t gradual. After I had KP I just packed on the pounds. My call center job doesn’t help much either. I’ve become super sedentary because of it.
This will no longer be the case. Since 12/30 I have been on a journey to eat better, control my portion sizes, revise my abusive relationship with carbs (I love them but they don’t love me back), and be more active. I’m TRYING to get at lest 30 minutes of exercise a day. This is difficult because I’m a habitual backslider, but I’m committed to dropping the weight.
I guess you guys can come along for the journey…just don’t judge too loudly.
